OPPORTUNITIES TO HELP

Mission Opportunity

Morning Star Fishermen is excited to announce a series of mission trips Nicaragua.

Nicaragua is one of the poorest countries in the Western Hemisphere. Nearly 46% of Nicaraguans live below the poverty line and one out of three children suffers from chronic malnutrition.

The purpose of these trips is to build a fish farm and sustainable agriculture training center in the Diriamba region of Nicaragua. This center will be Morning Star Fishermen’s base of operations in Central America, making it easier and more accessible for local poor communities in the region to get help and information necessary to learn how to produce quality fish and vegetables on their own.

Initial funding for the project has been provided by the Rotary Foundation and MSF. We have already built a road and a well at the project site.

If you want to be a part of the team making a difference in the lives of the people of central Nicaragua and beyond please contact us right away. By helping to build the facility you will be giving a hand up rather than a handout to the desperately poor people of Nicaragua.
