There are 130,000 public & private schools in the United States. Our mission is to give every school-age child access to proper nutrition by installing an aquaponic teaching system in every one of these schools. With your help, we can partner together in this effort to teach every child in America how to raise fish, fruit & veggies with aquaponics. Your donation will be used to underwrite the installation of a school teaching system and train a teacher to maintain it. This will allow the students to learn the science, nutrition & economics of a sustainable food source through aquaponics. They will be able to take this knowledge home to their parents, their neighborhoods, their communities & abroad. Together, We Can Give Them Access To Proper Nutrition, Changing Lives Forever!
How Does Aquaponics Work?
In the controlled aquaponic environment, the fish are fed or eat natural-growing algae. The fish waste excreted is naturally turned into "nutrient-rich" food by a process called Nitrification. This makes the fruits & veggies grow faster, with more nutrients than those grown in the ground.
Why Does Aquaponics Work?
Fish waste is high in ammonia, which is consumed by natural occurring bacteria in the water, ultimately forming Nitrates. The Nitrates formed are an extremely nutrient-rich form of food, absorbed by the plants, causing them to flourish. This Nitrogen Cycle is a process of natural fertilization like no other.
